34th Annual Fishermen’s Festival
A wonderful celebration of our local fishermen. Fishermen’s
Festival is when the locals play. Enjoy the Cod Fish Relay Race between the
high school classes, where they race around town carrying smelly cod fish,
dressed in foul weather gear; watch the kids (young and old) race across the
water on lobster crates; lobster trap pulling contest; blessing of the fleet;
the crowning of Miss Shrimp Princess; craft fair and other activities
celebrating the life around the sea.

Christmas Tree at the library and enjoy the procession to other side of the
Harbor for a Community Service and Song. Night time lighted boat parade.
