THIS HOME HAS A 7-NIGHT MINIMUM

We invite you to come experience the best that Maine has to offer! This home is a rare, well-maintained historic Rhode Island Stone-Ender style 3-story home. This home is surrounded by water and expansive lawns and gardens. The tidal waterfront with a dock and a rocky beach at low tide is perfect for access to the saltwater bay. Have lunch on the stone patio with wrought iron furniture and glass-top table for six.  When the sun goes down make a fire in the firepit and make s'mores or just enjoy the evening under the beautiful night sky full of stars.
THE HOUSE: This home is lovingly furnished and expertly decorated with comfort and convenience in mind. The open living room/dining room features a spectacular granite stone wall with English and American antique furniture. There is an office nook with a desk for those who have to work. Sit by the windows and enjoy the water views. The gourmet kitchen offers a gas cooktop and sub-zero refrigerator. Just off the kitchen, you will find the "coffee bar" and the family room. With spectacular views of the spacious lawn leading to the waterfront, you can relax and read a book, play Scrabble, do a jigsaw puzzle or watch your favorite movie on the 65" TV, or gather round the piano and play a tune!
First Floor: The main floor houses the living room/dining room area with several seating options, an office area, a gourmet eat-in kitchen, a family room, and a 1/2 bath. Enjoy dining or cocktails on a stone patio just off the living room. Or sit down by the waterfront for a close-up view of shore birds, and boating activity and enjoy the sights and sounds of life on the ocean.
Second Floor: The master bedroom with king bed and en suite bathroom.  The second bedroom with Queen bed across the hallway. An additional bathroom on the same side of the hall. The closet in the hallway holds the washer and dryer.
Third Floor:  Head up the wooden spiral staircase to the third floor.  This floor has a third bedroom with a Queen bed and a sitting room with a futon couch that could sleep an additional 2 people.

Tidewatch was beautiful and peaceful. The property is amazing with its expansive lawn, hammocks, fire pit, and garden. The dock was an extra special treat as was the small beach that emerged at low tide. Inside, the kitchen had nice appliances and all you needed to make a great meal. The second SubZero fridge was an added bonus! The house has a unique style with many interesting paintings and knickknacks to admire. The games were fun and there was an eclectic selection of books to browse! All the bedrooms were very comfortable. The house was a short drive to markets, restaurants and shops. We had a great time exploring the area!

Kayaking every day off the dock was blissful. We brought 4 boats and having the space to leave them next to the water was a huge plus. We saw many seals in the cove while paddling as well as a multitude of birds from Terns and Cormorants to a resident Great Blue Heron who we visited every afternoon. Neighborhood is lovely for walking and cycling (though be prepared for lots of small but often steep hills) and the Boothbay Regional Land Trust has a number of nice preserves for hiking nearby. The large flat yard made for a lovely unobstructed view of the water and lots of space to walk/run around. Hammock and patio with fire pit both have wonderful views. The house is uniquely lovely.obviously carefully decorated with mementos from an exciting life of travel. Lots of different common spaces so group members can gather for meals/games/conversation or find a comfy spot to read or relax on their own (we were thrilled to be able to dedicate the high table in the kitchen to jigsaw puzzles all week and still have lots of space to eat in the dining room). Kitchen was very well equipped allowing us to prepare most dinners at home and turning a rainy day into a cookie feast rather than a washout. Our families (4 adults and 3 children - ages 2, 8 and 15) had a fantastic time and plan to return again in the future. It is important to note that the listing is absolutely correct in that its not a good fit for young children as the stair cases and balconies have wide openings a child could fall through and all the wonderful/thoughtful decorations can be tempting to a young child. Our very mature 2.5 yr old did fine but only because we had an adult next to her at all times..not a place where kids under 8 should really be left to play on their own. So glad you let us share the magic that is Tidewatch!
